"This Week in Data" is a weekly infographic that aims to serve as a quick and easy way for our readers to catch up on the latest news about the people and organizations that are shaking up the world of big data, cloud computing, and all thing data storage.

This week was dominated by news coming out of IBM's Insight 2014 conference. Outside of a pair of IBM announcements, this week's stories also include a hatrick of aquisitions by EMC, a bit of good news for companies trying to move to the cloud, and some equally bad news for about half of the people living in California.
