High-Performance Disk-to-Disk Backup Software for Physical and Virtual Servers, featuring a Central Management Interface and Data Repository.
Continuous Data Protection (CDP) Enterprise Edition reduces server backup windows from hours to minutes. Works over existing TCP/IP networks. Install in as little as 15 minutes. Provide high performance backups for up to 30 or more servers with one central CDP data repository and user interface.
CDP Enterprise Edition for Windows is cross-platform high performance backup software. With CDP Enterprise Edition you can manage data protection for both Windows and Linux environments all from one user interface and into one disk-based data repository.
Installing the CDP Enterprise Server on a Windows Server allows you to protect data on both Windows AND Linux CDP Agents. All features available for both Windows and Linux are available regardless of the operating environment you choose for your CDP Enterprise Server repository.
HardwareA 64-bit Windows operating system is highly recommended. Due to the limitations of the 32-bit address space 32-bit CDP Enterprise Servers are limited to a max of 2 simultaneous backup tasks.
Windows Operating SystemWindows Server 2008 R2 is recommended for best performance

There was an issue with Ext4 introduced in "vanilla" Kernel.org kernel 2.6.32 and has been patched and released "down stream" into various Linux distributions. When any Ext4 file system snapshot is performed on an effected kernel the file system can deadlock causing a hung or crashed operating system.
This is a Linux kernel bug completely out of the control of R1Soft
Do not use the following Linux kernel versions with Ext4:

Any MySQL release version 5.X or newer including both MySQL Community and Enterprise releases.
In order for R1Soft CDP to protect your MySQL database it should be located on one of the following supported file systems.
Note: All of a databases tables and associated InnoDB log files should be located on the same file system for proper snapshot and synchronization. Locating InnoDB data and log files on separate file systems or devices is not currently supported by R1Soft CDP.
