Archiving and Exporting Add-On Overview
The new Archiving and Exporting Add-On for CDP Server 2.0 helps you:
- Export files to an existing Tape backup system
- Archive files off-site in an open standard format (ZIP or TAR)
- Download files directly through the CDP Server Web Interface
Export to Your Tape Backup System
- Export files to Zip or Tar format on a schedule to a local CDP Server hard disk or Network Share (CIFS, NFS, etc)
- Configure your Tape backup software to backup the exported files

- Archive at any time by selecting any combination of files in the Web GUI and clicking Archive
- Create scheduled archive tasks that export files from the most recent recovery point according to a schedule
- Chose exactly which files to include in an Archive
- Choose form compressed Zip or Tar archive formats
- Supported Protocols:
- Windows Shares (CIFS)
- FTP
- SFTP (secure FTP)
Download Files Directly form the CDP Server Web Interface
- Download at any time by selecting any combination of files in the Web GUI and clicking Download as Archive
- Your web browser will begin downloading a Zip or Tar file directly to your computer from the selected files in your CDP Server recovery point
