Networx Deploys R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection® for Powerful, Reliable Backups

HAMILTON, Ontario (Dec. 15, 2008) — Networx, an emerging leader in advanced business website hosting and server colocation services, announced today they will team up with R1Soft, developer of Continuous Data Protection® (CDP), to offer off-site backups as a value-added service for corporate and colocation clients.

CDP technology is innovative in its ability to provide near-continuous backups while using minimal resources and maintaining high-performance with zero interruptions even on the busiest servers. CDP’s Bare-Metal Restore™ feature will also enable Networx clients to perform fast and efficient disaster recovery by eliminating the need to re-partition the hard drives before restoring the system to a chosen recovery point.

The adoption of CDP will give colocation clients the opportunity to back up their servers as often as they choose to schedule backups, providing them with more security and maintaining the high performance their servers require. Current corporate clients will have the chance to add the backup service to their existing internet connection while clients purchasing business internet access products can add it on as well. Offerings start at $39.99 per server, plus an additional cost for compressed storage.
