InfoRelay Adds R1Soft Continuous Data Protection® to Hosting Services

 

STERLING, Va. (Nov. 26, 2008) — InfoRelay, provider of reliable IT and connectivity solutions, announced today they will now offer R1Soft Continuous Data Protection® as an add-on to their managed, dedicated and collocation customers. CDP technology brings fast, reliable backups for Linux and Windows to InfoRelay customers as well as protection for MySQL database infrastructure and client production environments.

Continuous Data Protection® Technology is high-performance backup software that enables disk-based data protection using synchronization over the network. During each scheduled synchronization, or backup, the CDP Server stores point-in-time snapshots, or deltas, of only the changed data. By tracking and only recording the changes to the hard disk, R1Soft CDP avoids the repetitive nature of traditional backups which occupy an unnecessary amount of space.
